Services by Sofia Brickman DVM, CCRT

Veterinary physical rehabilitation is a step-by-step process, requiring dedication at every stage from the therapist, you, and your pet. Paw by Paw offers a variety of services to meet those needs.

Treatment typically involves an initial evaluation, weekly home visits from Dr. Brickman, and an at-home exercise plan.

The 90-minute initial evaluation will include a discussion of your pet’s overall health, diet, supplements and medications, as well as a general physical, orthopedic, neurological, and muscular examination. This will be followed by a discussion of the rehabilitation plan best suited to your pet’s needs along with a demonstration of stretching, massage, and other exercises.

After the initial evaluation, weekly home visits will begin. These sessions will include a cursory reassessment of your pet’s current physical condition, therapeutic stretching, massage, and exercises.

In conjunction with the therapy provided during weekly doctor visits, implementing the at-home exercise plan personalized for your pet is vital to its progress. In order for your pet to consistently improve, therapeutic time must be spent with them on a daily basis.

At Paw by Paw, you not only have the opportunity to participate in the rehabilitative journey of your pet, you’re the key to their success!
